West Brom boss Tony Mowbray admits he needs to strengthen his defence for their Premiership return.

"I'd like to think I know where the strengths and weaknesses of the team are," said Mowbray. "We lost 11 games last season and those days were very clear that we will need strengthening.

"We cant have too many days like that at Old Trafford or Anfield next season. But it's difficult to find the quality and the character.

"People mention the defence - I would suggest people aren't a million miles away, we will need experience and quality to ensure we are better suited for the division we're going into."
