Motherwell target Mackay demands Livingston exit

Livingston defender Dave Mackay has slapped in a transfer request after the first division side rejected a £50,000 offer from Motherwell for the player.

The right-back is desperate to return to Scotland's top flight.

"Chairman Angelo Massone has told me Motherwell have put in a bid. The SPL is where I want to play, so I'd be keen to join," said Mackay.

"They play excellent football, are in the UEFA Cup and were third in the league last season, so it would be a great move.

"If it doesn't happen, I'll knuckle down and get on with it."
