The resignation of chief executive and director Ian Stillie was today confirmed by Motherwell. Stillie, appointed chief executive 14 months ago, will officially leave his post on Friday.

A statement on the club's official website read: "Ian is moving on to concentrate on other business ventures after 14 months as chief executive and several years as a director.

"We would like to thank Ian for all his work during his time at the club and wish him every success in his future career."
