Miller would enjoy more competition at West Brom

West Brom striker Ishmael Miller would like to see more competition for spots in the Baggies squad.

The January transfer window is likely to be a busy time for West Brom boss Tony Mowbray as the club battles it's way out of the relegation zone and Miller believes a bit of jostling for positions would be healthy.

"If you look at any team or squad in the Premier League, they are all looking to strengthen," Miller told the Express & Star.

"If there is someone who can make us better and stronger then we should be looking to bring him in.

"The more players we have the more competition it will provide and that will be better for all of us. It will give us a better chance of staying up.

"But obviously you want to play and be in the manager's thoughts and I feel I am and I know I need to play as well as I can so I stay there."
