Luton attracting buyers

Luton's joint administrator has confirmed that "over a dozen" parties have shown a firm interest in buying the troubled League One club.

Kevin Blackwell's side are currently bottom of the table after going into administration and being hit with a 10-point penalty but administrator Brendan Guilfoyle remains confident that the club will be sold.

He said: "I'm encouraged by the number of parties who have expressed an interest. Over a dozen people have requested the sales pack and signed non-disclosure agreements.

"Now we are waiting for people to prove funds because we only want to negotiate with parties who are able to complete the transaction.

"We are asking for final bids on January 3 and then see how it goes from there."
