Leyton Orient forced to wait on Birmingham's Oji

Leyton Orient boss Martin Ling admits plans to sign Birmingham City defender Sam Oji are up-in-the-air following Steve Bruce's departure.

Ling said: "Before Steve left we had come to an agreement with Birmingham that they would pay off the remainder of his contract and that we would take him on until the end of the season.

"But things are up in the air now, because we don't know who is going to be in charge of the club and Sam may fancy going back there and trying to win over a new manager.

"We have still got him with us until November 28, but we will need someone else in if he goes back because I don't want to be left with just three central defenders going into the busy Christmas period, especially as Alton Thelwell is already playing with an injury."
