Bayern Munich midfielder Bastian Schweinsteiger's girlfriend looks to have a major influence on where the German will play next year. Reports out of Germany suggest that Sarah Brandner isn't keen on a move to Turin, which would be a major stumbling block for Juventus who have been constantly linked with a possible move for the German international.
Juventus president Cobolli Gigli told Italian daily Tuttosport that he hoped Brandner didn't have that type of influence on such a great player.
"Schweinsteiger is an excellent player and we are talking about it. I cannot say that he is officially of interest, because we have not yet finalised the situation within the club hierarchy.
On Brandner, Cobolli Gigli said: "I saw photographs of her in the newspapers and she is a beautiful woman. However, a great player should not let his career be dictated by such matters.
"He should be given the freedom to choose the solution that seems most opportune purely from a sporting point of view."
