Hibs have signed Livingston trialist Patrick Noubissie - and sent him immediately back to his old club on-loan.

"I feel that right now what Patrick needs is competitive football under his belt and he will get that at Livingston," Hibs boss John Collins said yesterday after securing the Frenchman to a two-year deal. "He will train with them in the mornings and with us in the afternoons, and that way we will be able to work on his fitness.

"I felt that while we have plenty up front and in the wider areas, we needed another player in the squad capable of playing that holding role in midfield. I saw him in that friendly against Livingston and he did very well."
