Gretna will fold in eight days time unless a buyer is found for the club, administrators confirmed yesterday.
"The proposal is that we continue to trade and allow the club to continue to play football until the end of the season while we seek a buyer," said the appointed administrator, David Elliot.
"We have got four interested parties and I would like to remain hopeful that one will come through before the end of the season."
Gretna's season concludes on Tuesday and their funds will last for another four days, when the club's whirlwind stay in Scottish senior football could come to an end.
"At that point, to be quite frank with you, we stop," said Elliot.
