Birmingham chairman David Gold has insisted Steve Bruce's future is the No.1 priority when the St Andrew's board meet with Carson Yeung this weekend.
Yeung, currently completing a £50million takeover at the club, is expected back in the UK for the Wigan match amid speculation over a new contract for Blues boss Bruce.
Now Gold says this is a chance for everyone connected with the planned takeover to clear the air.
"The long-term future of Steve Bruce will be the No.1 priority when we hold our talks," said Gold.
"Of course, we need to know how the sale of the club is progressing but our supporters want to make sure everything is stable as far as the manager and the team are concerned.
"Everything else can follow on from that because results are the most important thing.
"Steve's future is a major issue but as things stand, we're not exactly sure when talks will take place.
"We would have to make it clear to Mr Yeung that they do not interfere with Steve's preparations for the Wigan game."
