Former players Warren Barton and Robbie Earle launched the project 'Premier Skills' in Dehli on Monday, working with the British Council to enhance young people's football coaching skills and develop their English.
Premier Skills launched last season in Egypt, where two projects now exist in Cairo and Alexandria.
A fourth project will be launched in the Indian city of Kolkata in March.
Premier League chief executive Richard Scudamore said: "It is clear to us that there is a growing interest in football - and the Premier League - in India."
