West Brom have agreed a fee with Derry City for Northern Ireland midfielder Paddy McCourt.

The deal is subject to McCourt passing a medical and agreeing personal terms with Tony Mowbray's Premier League newcomers.

A statement on Derry City's official website, read: "The club would like to announce that we have now reached agreement with West Brom in relation to the transfer of Patrick McCourt.

"West Brom have been given permission to speak with the player to discuss personal terms and carry out a medical, which is expected to take place early next week. Providing no issues arise out of the medical and personal terms are agreed then the transfer will proceed immediately.

"The club would like to take this opportunity to wish Paddy every success with his new club."
