Derby boss Jewell: Barnes can go for right price

After confirming an offer had arrived from Newcastle, Derby boss Paul Jewell won't rule out selling Giles Barnes before tomorrow night's transfer deadline.

He said: "I am very happy to keep Giles Barnes, he has huge potential so I don't see why we should let him go cheap.

"And if Giles Barnes tells me he doesn't want to go to Newcastle or he doesn't want to go anywhere then I'm very happy to hear that.

"If he tells me he wants to go because it looks like we're going to go down then I have to respect that decision.

"But also, as I have told his agent, he has to respect that just because we might be going down he is not going on the cheap."
