Derby boss Paul Jewell has revealed he has already turned his attention towards the recruitment of new players when the transfer window reopens in the summer.

The Rams remain on course for an immediate return to the Championship despite holding Birmingham City to a 1-1 draw at the weekend.

"The summer starts now regarding recruitment of players and players we're looking to move on," Jewell added.

"It's a long drawn-out process but, hopefully by the start of next season, we'll be where we want to be.

"It takes time to turn around a losing mentality but, by the start of next season, you'll see major improvement from top to bottom."
