Canada kid Ayre set for Hibs breakthrough

Canadian kid Keegan Ayre is on the verge of a first team breakthrough at Hibs.

Easter Road boss John Collins was at Almondvale to watch the 20-year-old midfielder turn in a five-star performance as Gretna's reserve side were hammered 4-1.

He told the Edinburgh Evening News: "I thought Keegan's performance on Tuesday was the best I have seen from him since I have been at the club. He looked comfortable, very assured and did well so he's in with a chance for the weekend."
