Burnley have granted leading scorer Andy Gray permission to speak to Charlton after agreeing a fee of £1.5million with their Coca-Cola Championship rivals.
The Clarets turned down Charlton's initial offer for the 30-year-old but have now accepted an improved offer of £1.5million.
A statement from Burnley said: "After turning down a substantial seven-figure bid from Charlton earlier this week, the Clarets have now accepted an improved offer of £1.5million with add-ons, which could take the fee to £2million.
"Gray will now discuss personal terms with Burnley's Championship rivals and will not be in Owen Coyle's squad for the weekend game away to Coventry City."
