Bruce: Teams now parking their bus in front of Wigan goal

Wigan boss Steve Bruce admits their growing reputation has made it more difficult to win at home.

Reflecting on their JJB form Bruce said: "That has been the disappointing thing for us as you always want to perform in front of your own fans. Our best displays have been away from home.

"I think teams approach us differently now. They get men behind the ball and make it difficult for us. In the past they maybe thought there was an opportunity to get three points.

"We need to improve at home - that's how we stayed in the division last year. If we can turn that around we can look forward to a decent season."
