The Oman international has made just four appearances for the Trotters this season and has had to be prepared to play back-up to first choice keeper Jussi Jaaskelainen ever since his arrival at The Reebok in 2006.

With Oliver Kahn set to retire in the summer Bayern will be in the market for a replacement and Al Habsi's agent has revealed that he has already had contact from the Germans.

"I've had calls from foreign clubs, from Germany especially," he said in the News of the World.

"We'll assess things in the summer."
