Blackburn boss Ince disappointed in Newcastle

Offering Terry Venables the Newcastle job on a temporary basis has been labelled 'disrespectful' by Rovers boss Paul Ince. Ince played under Venables at Euro '96 and has nothing but admiration for the veteran tactician.

"At the end of the day he's a fantastic manager, he's a great manager," he told Sky Sports News.

"I had the privilege to work under him at Euro '96 and for someone of his stature and standing in the game to go to a club for just four or five weeks is as far as I'm concerned disrespectful to the man himself.

"I can understand him saying no to Newcastle."
