Blackburn boss Hughes happy with squad

Blackburn boss Mark Hughes is confident he will not have to move into the transfer market next month, despite his side's recent dip in form.

Rovers' 1-0 defeat at home to West Ham on Sunday means the club have taken just five points from last six Premier League matches, coming on the back of a seven-match-winning streak.

"In fairness, the squad is strong enough," assessed Hughes after seeing his side slump to a third defeat in the last five matches.

"If opportunities present themselves then we will look at them, but we are strong enough to get through this.

"We've played some strong sides in this recent period and not been beaten by that many of them, and as far as I'm concerned we're still going in the right direction.

"You have to appreciate against good teams in this league, they will cause problems, so it is up to us to do better.

"As I've said before, it's unrealistic to expect us to win every game we play. That is an impossibility."
