Birmingham City midfielder Sebastian Larsson has welcomed Premiership interest.

A source close to the Swede told the Daily Star: "His agent has made it clear to Birmingham that Larsson does not want to be in the Championship next season and that he wants to be in the Premier League.

"There are four or five clubs interested in taking him - but Newcastle and Blackburn are the main ones. Birmingham do not appear to want to negotiate at the moment.

"Larsson is just waiting to see if someone will offer the right kind of money but he has made it clear to Birmingham that he does not want to stay."
