Birmingham set to snap up top Eintracht Frankfurt prospect

Birmingham believe they could have pulled off a coup by signing Semih Aydilek from Eintracht Frankfurt.

The six foot three 18-year-old was persuaded to move to St Andrew's by Academy manager Terry Westley, who was tipped off about the striker, a dual Turkish-German national.

"With Semih, we can't get his clearance through yet," said Westley. "He's waiting for his German passport to come.

"But when that's sorted and our supporters see him play, I think they will like him. He was at Eintracht Frankfurt and if you've been there, you've got some pedigree," he told the Birmingham Mail.
