Birmingham ready to battle SFA over Eck compo

Birmingham City are ready to battle the Scottish FA over compensation claims for manager Alex McLeish.

Birmingham are ready to defend themselves in court if the Scottish FA go ahead with legal action over a £1million compensation claim for McLeish.

McLeish quit as Scotland manager last month to replace Steve Bruce, but Birmingham are offering the SFA only £500,000.

A club source told the Daily Mail: "We are not prepared to pay any more."
