Birmingham City boss Alex McLeish wants Derby winger Stephen Pearson.

The People says Pearson is on loan at Stoke, who could try to make the move permanent by meeting the fixed fee in his contract.

However, Birmingham could tempt Pearson, 25, with a long-term deal. He played for McLeish in the Scotland side and would like to follow big pal James McFadden to St Andrews.
