Birmingham City boss Steve Bruce is eager to get his hands on the cash of prospective new club owner Carson Yeung.

Hong Kong tycoon Yeung, who bought 29.9 per cent of City in July for £15million, hopes to buy the rest of the Blues' shares for £35m next month.

He is flying in later this week for Saturday's home game with Bolton to continue negotiations.

Bruce said: "All the other investors in Premier League clubs have spent absolute fortunes. We hope it will be the case here too. I'm one of the lowest spenders - as a manager you always want more."
