Accrington Stanley have signed rookie Blackburn striker Jamie Clarke on loan until the end of 2008.

The 19-year-old was leading scorer in his first season in the Rovers Academy, and despite a subsequent struggle with injury, went on to score six goals in 16 appearances for the reserves last term.

He signed a new one-year deal at Ewood Park last April and made his debut for Stanley against Burnley during Saturday's pre-season friendly.
