Conte uncertain about long-term Chelsea project

Antonio Conte is unsure that he will stay at Chelsea for the long term due to the current climate of football management in the Premier League.

Being a manager of a Premier League team is arguably one of the most insecure jobs in the world in terms of security and Claudio Ranieri being sacked as Leicester City manager recently is a testament to this statement.

Chelsea boss Conte is perhaps the man who looks further away from the sack than anybody else at the moment due to the Blues' fine performances this season but the Italian has acknowledged he cannot say for certain that the will remain in the hot-seat at Stamford Bridge for the long haul due to the result based nature of the Premier League.

Conte said: "I think in this type of modern football, it's not easy to start a project and to be sure you will stay a long time in the same team. But honestly not only for me, for all coaches.

"If you have the possibility to stay for many years in the same team, then you can work to improve your idea, to improve your players, but the result in football is very important.

"We all know this, and we know it can happen, that one season, you can win the title, the next season you can go away."
