Chelsea boss Antonio Conte is weighing up the futures of three defensive Blues.
The Daily Mail says Virgil van Dijk has been identified as a key defensive target and Chelsea believe they are well set to lure him from Southampton when the season ends.
In the meantime, Conte will take a closer look at Kurt Zouma, Nathan Ake, recalled from Bournemouth, and Andreas Christensen, into the last four months of a two-year loan at Borussia Monchengladbach.
There is lots of interest in Zouma, Ake and Christensen. The young trio of defenders will command big fees if the Chelsea boss decides he can do without any of them.
Bournemouth bid £18million for Ake last month and Southampton have an eye on him as a potential replacement if and when they lose Van Dijk.
