Antonio Conte wants to take a close look at Alexandre Pato in Chelsea's preseason.
Pato is on-loan at Chelsea until June from Corinthians and has struggled for minutes under coach Guus Hiddink.
Incoming manager Conte remains a fan of the former AC Milan striker and wants the chance to take a close look at the Brazilian before making a decision over whether to sign him.
For his part, Pato would welcome the opportunity to extend his stay this summer in order to prove himself to the Italian.
Roberto de Andrade, the Corinthians president, said last week: "He still has a contract with us, which has to be respected. So nothing has changed in the situation regarding Pato.
"Therefore, if Chelsea does not want more and not pay for his transfer, then he will return to Corinthians. And once back with us, he will be used to help our team.'
