Antonio Conte has heaped praise on his Siena squad.

Conte is aiming to lift Siena back into Serie A this season.

He said: "I married this project with conviction. I knew that I was coming to a strong club with Mezzaroma and a director of sport like Perinetti who listens to me. It's fundamental, as things don't go forward where there isn't harmony.

"They called me to win. My victories are always born in the dressing room. At Juve Lippi could count on a hardcore. Here I always have to send five or six lads in the stands and it's not easy, but they are our strength.

"It's better to have a lad who is worth seven as a footballer and 10 as a man than someone who is worth 10 as a footballer and five as a man."
