Chelsea manager Antonio Conte has defended his decision to play his youngsters against Norwich City in the FA Cup third-round.
The Canaries managed to draw 0-0 with the defending Premier League champions two weekends ago at Carrow Road.
Ahead of the replay at Stamford Bridge on Wednesday, Conte said he is likely to field young players, citing Ethan Ampadu's performance as justification for his decision.
"A young player has to deserve this chance, not only because he is a young player or not only because he is a player from our Academy," Conte explained.
"I want to be very clear and for this reason, Ethan Ampadu showed he deserved this chance and probably he will play tomorrow. And players must show me that when I gave this opportunity, I did not make a mistake."
