Conte admits Chelsea crisis talks post-Roma: There are no excuses

Chelsea boss Antonio Conte has confirmed crisis talks with his players after their thrashing at Roma.

The 3-0 Champions League defeat was the equal worst of the Conte era.

And it has been claimed Conte steamed into his players the following morning, blasting his senior men and even those like Kenedy for yawning on the bench.

Yesterday, Conte conceded: "We have always meetings, after a win and after a defeat, to try to watch positive situations and negative situations and then together to try to solve these situation.

"It happened the same on Thursday during the meeting and sometimes it is important to watch again the game and sometimes it is important to speak. This is my task, to try to understand why we lost and then to find the right solution to try to improve and avoid other situations like this.

"When I made a mistake I like to speak and tell the press. Remember I said after the first game against Rome that it was my fault, and this is not the first time I put my face forward. I am a coach who does not like to find excuses or an alibi."
