Former QPR boss Harry Redknapp is wanted by a consortium seeking to buy a club on the south coast.

The Daily Star says the group have been looking at a takeover at League Two Plymouth, Conference club Torquay and Southern Premier League side Poole.

Redknapp resigned as QPR manager this week and is wanted by the consortium for his football experience.

An approach to Yeovil Town has been rejected by their board.
