Aberdeen defender Andrew Considine says new Sunderland signing Russell Anderson deserves to be regarded as a Pittodrie legend.

Andy said: "For a long time it was hard for any central defender at Aberdeen as you were always compared to Miller and McLeish.

"But I'd definitely put Russell up there with those guys. In the past few seasons he has been so consistent.

"People will see him in a different light now he's in the English top flight. If he's a Sunderland regular Russell will have a great shout of playing with Scotland."
