Former Stoke City winger Terry Conroy feels the departure is a massive decision by the club.

The Potters announced manager Pulis' exit yesterday.

Conroy said: "Fans have been making noise from January onwards and sometimes the media gets hold of that and it creates its own problems.

"We have had five great years in the Premier League and a blip over the last few months.

"Look at what he has achieved at Stoke, it is a colossal record."
