Stephen Connor is set to resume his career in Wales after being released by Everton.

Former Everton Academy player Connor is on the verge of joining Welsh outfit The New Saints.

The Principality Welsh Premier side are awaiting international clearance to sign the striker, who was released by the Toffees in the summer of 2008.

Connor, who can also operate on the wing, will be hoping to help TNS to a fourth Welsh title in five years. Mike Davies' side currently sit third, three points behind leaders Rhyl.
