Terry Connor admits he wants to keep the manager's job at relegated Wolves.
Connor has taken just three points from 11 games since he took charge after Mick McCarthy was sacked and has failed to save Wolves from the drop.
But he said: "Results do count against me, yes. This is a results-orientated game, so you won't get any bleating from me about that.
"I understand what business we are in and it's about winning. I accept whatever way the club goes.
"My record is out there and I have to stand or fall by it. If they feel that I'm the best man, then great."
