Confusion surrounds buyout clause for Liverpool's wantaway Suarez

There is confusion in both camps over Liverpool striker Luis Suarez's buyout clause.

The People says Liverpool accept that the Uruguay striker may speak to clubs if a £40m bid arrives but believe they do not have to sell at that price.

The Suarez camp are of the opinion their man can choose to walk away if the release clause is triggered.

Liverpool value their star asset closer to £50m but a bid of £40m from Real Madrid, Arsenal or Chelsea would prove testing.
