Spanish giants Real Madrid have progressed to the Champions League final-four where they will meet arch rivals Barcelona. Los Blancos defeated Premier League club Tottenham 1-0 at White Hart Lane tonight to move through to the semi-finals 5-0 on aggregate after the one-sided first leg last week.
Cristiano Ronaldo's 50th minute strike was enough for Jose Mourinho's men to set up a two-legged tie with Catalan powerhouse Barcelona which will be the third of four meetings between the clubs in the next three weeks.
This Saturday, Madrid host Barca at the Santiago Bernabeu in the Primera Division with the home side chasing the title for which they find themselves eight points behind Pep Guardiola's charges.
The two clubs then meet at Valencia's Mestalla in the final of the Copa del Rey on Wednesday, April 20 before Madrid again play host to the Blaugrana in the first leg of the Champions League semi-final on Wednesday the 27th.
And to finish a hectic few weeks for supporters of both clubs, Barcelona are at home in the comfort of the Nou Camp for the return leg on Tuesday, May 3.
Madrid's recent form is solid with eight wins in their past 10 league matches and just two losses in their last 20 in all competitions - they are also one of two teams, the other being Manchester United, to remain undefeated in the Champions League this season.
But Barcelona are probably the in-form team in all of Europe having only lost twice in their past 19 in all comps and not losing in La Liga since September.
