Real Madrid coach Rafa Benitez is outshining the record of former coaches Jose Mourinho and Carlo Ancelotti.

Chelsea boss Jose Mourinho had by this time overseen two draws in his first year in charge, against Mallorca and Sporting Gijon.

Ancelotti meanwhile had only drawn once, against Villarreal, the same as the Spaniard, whose side were held at El Molinón on the opening weekend of the league.

But Benítez's side have a better goal record than his predecessors after six games. Madrid have scored 18 and conceded just once so far under Benítez, while Ancelotti's side bagged the same number in attack but leaked six at the back. Mourinho's record was eight scored and one conceded.
