Sergio Aguero insists he is not too concerned about missing a pair of penalties for Manchester City.
The Argentine striker saw his first 12-yard attempt saved by Steaua Bucharest keeper Florin Nita in the first leg of the Champions League play-off before blazing his second effort over the crossbar in Romania on Tuesday night.
Aguero picked himself up to score a hat-trick in City's 5-0 victory and vows to be better from the spot even though he could have made an excuse that a green pen laser form the crowd contributed to his spot-kick shortcomings.
"I had a laser in my eyes but that is not an excuse," said Aguero.
"I missed the penalties and I know I have to improve and I will try to improve.
"In the end I was happy to score so many goals, but the most important thing for me was that the team won.
"After I missed my first penalty, my head was spinning a bit but I thought 'I have to carry on and try to score this one' but I missed.
"I had a change in my mind about how to take the second penalty and it didn't go in.
"Have I ever missed two penalties in a game? No.
"But I still have plenty of confidence to keep taking the penalties."
