Concacaf, the confederation for North and Central America and the Caribbean football, has agreed a sponsorship deal with Modelo, reports, www.sportspromedia.com/.
The partnership runs until 2020 and will see the Constellation Brands' owned beer label become associated with a range of Concacaf events, including the Gold Cup, the Women's World Cup Qualifying Championship, Women's Olympic Qualifying Championship, the Futsal Championship, the Beach Soccer Championship and club soccer's Concacaf Champions League.
No financial terms were released.
"We very are excited to welcome Modelo as an official partner of the confederation," said Concacaf general secretary Philippe Moggio. "We share their passion for football, as well as a commitment to grow and enhance our Confederation's top championships by connecting with fans through continued, innovative engagement."
Ann Legan, the vice president for marketing at Modelo, added: "Our Concacaf partnership offers Modelo an incredible opportunity to celebrate some of the strongest competitors from around the world through the great mix of tournaments over the next four years.
"The passion and enthusiasm the fans have for the sport ties perfectly with the brand's energy and our consumers' fighting spirit."
