Allstate Insurance Company has signed up to sponsor this year's Concacaf Gold Cup, reports, www.sportspromedia.com/. The company becomes the official auto, life, home and retirement insurance partner of the 12-nation tournament, which is set to be held in the USA and Canada in July.
Allstate has strong ties to soccer in North America, having supported Major League Soccer (MLS) and the US and Mexican national teams in the past, although the new deal for the Gold Cup, brokered by Concacaf's marketing partner Traffic Sports, marks the company's first regional sponsorship.
"We are excited to welcome Allstate as an official sponsor of the Concacaf Gold Cup," said Enrique Sanz, the body's general secretary.
"Allstate has always been a great supporter of the sport in general and in the US in particular."
Allstate joins Scotiabank in sponsoring the Gold Cup, with the bank having signed up last December.
