Former Liverpool football chief Damien Comolli says Marseille shouldn't be disheartened over Bafetimbi Gomis' snub.

The former Swansea City has signed for Galatasaray, despite spending last season on-loan with Marseille.

"There is nothing abnormal. Gomis has a Premier League striker's salary that he got by signing free at the time, along with a signing bonus," said Comolli.

"It was the law of the market at that time.

"One can understand his refusal to decline as long as there are clubs ready to accept him under these conditions."
