Tottenham sports director Damien Comolli says they can use the UEFA Cup to turn their season around.
The Premier League club was grouped with Anderlecht, Getafe, Hapoel Tel Aviv and Aalborg.
"We have done well in the Carling Cup this season and we are in the group stages of the UEFA Cup, which is what we wanted. We have to build up on that.
"There is no reason to worry. The quality is there and we create chances and everyone is confident we will turn the corner.
"We were unlucky against Liverpool on Sunday but coming back in the second half against Villa boosted the players' confidence.
"I think the Villa game could be a turning point and players know they can build on that which they did at Liverpool. I think it is a new start."
