Commons has no desire to leave Celtic

Kris Commons insists he has no plans to leave Celtic in the near future.

The 28-year English winger was a target for Southampton in January and is also being tipped to head back across the border in the summer with some of his homeland clubs showing considerable interest.

But Commons, a former Stoke City, Nottingham Forest and Derby County forward, insists he is quite content at Parkhead.

"No, not at all," he said when asked if he has plans to leave Celtic.

"I love it here. It is the best club I have ever played for.

"I love living in Glasgow and playing with such quality players week in, week out is magnificent. I couldn't think of anywhere better to play my football."
