Come Play! squad for Muscat testimonial announced

The Come Play! squad for Friday night's Kevin Muscat testimonial against the Melbourne Victory has been officially announced.

Come Play! XI head coach Jan Versleijen has selected 17 players who are in contention for the upcoming 2012 Olympic Games qualification campaign and also members of the Qantas Young Socceroos who will be competing at the AFC U-19 Championship 2010 which will be held 3-17 October 2010 in Zibo, Shandong Province, China PR.

Versleijen said he was excited about testing his players against the Victory and was happy to play a part in honouring club great Kevin Muscat in Melbourne's brand new stadium, AAMI Park.

"We are honoured to be able to contribute to this exciting testimonial match for Kevin Muscat," said Versleijen.

"Kevin has had a prolific football career at domestic and international level and this match is in recognition of his vast achievements.

"The players that I have selected for this match are being considered for upcoming national team campaigns and their performance may have a bearing on their future selection.

"It's also a great privilege to be part of the first ever football match at this fantastic new venue and I'm sure that my players will rise to the occasion."
