The Columbus Crew today announced that it has signed midfielder Daniel Paladini.
The 29-year-old midfielder has formally been added to the Black & Gold's roster following last week's deal with Chicago. Per Major League Soccer and club policy, further terms of the deal were not disclosed.
Last week, on December 12, the Crew traded the club's 2014 Fourth Round SuperDraft pick to the Chicago Fire in exchange for the rights to Paladini.
"Daniel is a very technical player who has good vision and passes the ball well. He's also good at quickly turning with the ball and these qualities will help complement our attack," said Crew Sporting Director and Head Coach Gregg Berhalter. "He's a strong two-way midfielder in our League and we look forward to working with him soon."
