Columbus Crew striker Emilio Renteria has been named the Week 9 MLS Player of the Week.
The 25-year old Venezuelan scored twice for the Crew this week, netting against New York Red Bull in the 3-1 away win before grabbing the winner against Kansas City Wizards on Sunday as his side got a full six points from their two away games.
It is Renteria's first career Player of the Week award and he becomes the first Crew player of the season to be named.
