Columbus Crew's Renteria keeps door ajar for Caracas loan

Columbus Crew forward Emilio Renteria could return to former club Caracas as a loan player for the Copa Libertadores.

The 27-year old Venezuelan is back in his homeland training with Caracas, who he left to join the Crew in 2009, has indicated that he could again be playing for Los Rojos del Avila when the South American tournament kicks off in January.

"It's a possibility that I discussed with my agent, I do not I see a problem, but I must speak with Columbus," he told liderendeportes.com.

Caracas take on Uruguayan outfit Penarol in the first stage of the 2012 Copa Libertadores in a two-legged play-off beginning on January 25.
